Judges and Route Setters at IMF New Delhi
1. Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) is organizing Training Course for Judges and Route Setters at IMF, New Delhi from 09 to 12 April, 2014. A nominal registration fee of Rs.1000/- is payable by each participant intending to undergo the training.

Qualifications for Judges are as follows:
Judges Course (i) Qualifications - Graduate.
(ii) Age Limit - Not less than 20 years
(iii) Should have sound knowledge about the International Federation for Sport Climbing (IFSC) Rules system.
(iii) Should have a good exposure in sport climbing.
(iv) Should be physically/mentally and medically fit.
(v) Should be able to converse and communicate in English and Hindi.


2. All participants for the judges course must download the `Rules 2014 – International Climbing Competitions’ from the website www.ifsc-climbing.org and must study the same before taking part in the program. Participant must carry the Rule Book for the course.. There will be a preliminary test (the performance of which will be reckoned for grading) covering chapters 1,2,3,4,5,11,12,13 of the International Rules 2014 on the first day of the course and the candidates should come prepared for the same.

3. Qualifications for Route Setters are as follows:
Route Setters Course (i) Qualifications - 10th Class
(ii) Age Limit - Not more than 30 years
(iii) Should have minimum 7a+ red point climbing standards
(iv) Should be physically/mentally and medically fit.
(v) Should be able to converse and communicate in English and Hindi.


4. With climbing standards going up and many youngsters climbing higher grades, the emphasis in this training will be producing quality route setters. It is mandatory to climb the prescribed grade to be able to attend the course for freshers and for re-orientation hence climbing test will be conducted on 09 April, 2014. Candidates who fail to comply with the standards will be sent back.

5. The registration will be open from 1500 to 1700 hours (3.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M.) on 09 April 2014. Application forms complete in all respects, as per the format enclosed, along with a passport size photograph, course fee of Rs.1000/-by bank draft/cash, may be sent, so as to reach IMF by 30 March, 2014 positively.

6. The board and lodging will be provided free of charge during the stay of participants from 09 April(Evening) to 13 April 2014(Morning). The entries will be limited to 15 judges and 15 route setters.
